About Shanghai
Shanghai, China's largest city and financial capital, represents the perfect synthesis of ancient Chinese culture and ultramodern development. This dynamic metropolis along the Yangtze River showcases China's rapid transformation through its stunning skyline, historic neighborhoods, and incredible culinary scene. From the futuristic Pudong district with its towering skyscrapers to the charming tree-lined streets of the French Concession, Shanghai offers visitors an unforgettable glimpse into both China's past and its ambitious future.
My Experience
Shanghai absolutely blew me away with its incredible contrasts. The view from the Shanghai Tower was breathtaking - seeing the city stretch endlessly in all directions really drove home the scale of this megacity. Walking along the Bund at night, with the Pudong skyline lit up across the river, felt like being in a sci-fi movie. The French Concession was charming with its European-style architecture and boutique shops. The food scene was incredible - from street food to high-end restaurants, every meal was an adventure. The energy and pace of the city was infectious.
