A luxurious 7-day journey through Bangalore and Mysore blends the vibrancy of modern India with timeless royal heritage. Ideal for travellers seeking gardens, palaces, fine vegetarian cuisine, boutique shopping, and cultural richness.
About Bangalore
Bangalore, often called the Garden City of India, is a bustling metropolis known for its lush parks, high-end shopping, and a progressive food and arts scene. From historical palaces to chic rooftop lounges, it’s a city where modern meets traditional.
Just a short drive away lies Mysore, famed for its majestic Mysore Palace, classical architecture, and artisan crafts. This city radiates old-world charm and is deeply rooted in Karnataka’s cultural legacy. With well-preserved royal residences, vibrant markets, and the scent of sandalwood in the air, Mysore offers a tranquil contrast to Bangalore’s energy.
My Experience
We began our trip in Bangalore, staying at The Oberoi – a green oasis in the city. The highlight was a serene spa session on arrival followed by exploring Indiranagar’s art cafés and ending the day with dinner at the beautiful garden café, Green Theory. The next day, we explored iconic sites like Lalbagh Botanical Garden and Bangalore Palace, and dined al fresco at Rim Naam, which felt like dining inside a forest.
On Day 3, we immersed ourselves in art and theatre, then enjoyed some fun retail therapy at Mysore Saree Udyog. That night, sipping cocktails at Skyye Lounge with rooftop city views was unforgettable.
Mysore welcomed us with a scenic drive and a delightful stop at Channapatna Toy Village. We stayed at Royal Orchid Metropole – the vintage charm was lovely. Visiting Mysore Palace was awe-inspiring, and the guided tour was worth every minute. Devaraja Market was bustling with flowers, incense, and colours we’ll never forget. On our final day, shopping for silk sarees and sandalwood crafts wrapped up our trip beautifully.
