About Hyderabad
Hyderabad, the capital of Telangana, is a dynamic city that seamlessly merges regal elegance with urban charm. Home to opulent palaces, bustling bazaars, centuries-old mosques, and some of India’s finest cuisine, it offers something for every kind of traveller. Whether you're wandering through the alleyways of the Old City or exploring designer boutiques in Banjara Hills, Hyderabad's distinct blend of Nawabi sophistication and modern energy is unforgettable.
My Experience
Staying at the Taj Falaknuma Palace was like entering a royal dream – from the horse-drawn carriage welcome to stargazing on the palace terrace. A heritage walk through the palace followed by high tea at Jade Terrace was a truly regal experience. In the heart of the Old City, we marvelled at the Charminar, browsed Laad Bazaar’s bangles, and enjoyed a hearty vegetarian thali at Shadab.
Exploring Golconda Fort, the Qutb Shahi Tombs, and enjoying a sound & light show in the evening added a mystical layer to the journey. Shopping for Basra pearls, indulging in fine vegetarian dining at Yi Jing, and wrapping up the trip with dosa and coffee at Chutneys made this 5-day trip truly memorable. I particularly loved the pearl-polishing demo – a rare insight into Hyderabad’s timeless elegance.
