About Jodhpur
This 7-day itinerary covers three stunning jewels of Rajasthan: the regal city of Jodhpur, the serene desert heritage of Khimsar, and the golden charm of Jaisalmer. From Mehrangarh Fort towering over Jodhpur to camel rides under the stars in Jaisalmer’s dunes, this journey celebrates India’s royal past, stunning architecture, and desert adventures. The route is peppered with traditional music, handicrafts, and delicious vegetarian Rajasthani cuisine, making it perfect for culture seekers and comfort travellers alike.
My Experience
We started in Jodhpur with breathtaking views of Mehrangarh Fort from RAAS. Exploring the fort and bustling Sardar Market was a vivid cultural immersion. Khimsar was a peaceful, offbeat stop—staying in a fort and riding camels through sand dunes felt surreal. Jaisalmer was a visual dream—golden fort walls glowing at sunset, intricate havelis, and delicious veg thalis. The highlight was a star-lit night in the Thar desert with folk music echoing in the wind. Rajasthan truly cast its spell on us.
