About Sikkim
Sikkim’s magic lies in its peaceful pace and spiritual strength. In Gangtok, you’ll find vibrant city life harmonising with monastic serenity. Venture to Tsomgo Lake and Nathula Pass for a glimpse of Himalayan grandeur. In Pelling and Yuksom, history and nature intertwine where old royal ruins meet pristine forests and snowy peaks. The region offers a spectrum of experiences: morning hikes to monasteries, gentle treks through rhododendron trails, and the warmth of local food in mountain cafés.
My Experience
Our journey through Sikkim felt like a meditative retreat framed by snow-capped peaks. We began in Gangtok, where MG Road buzzed with life yet remained peaceful. The Ropeway ride offered unforgettable city views. At Tsomgo Lake, prayer flags fluttered in the crisp air, and the silence felt sacred. Driving through Ravangla to Pelling revealed breathtaking landscapes. Trekking up to Sanga Choeling Monastery at sunrise was both spiritual and invigorating. Yuksom’s quiet charm and forest trails rounded out the experience beautifully.
