About Muscat
Oman is a destination where ancient heritage meets refined leisure. In Muscat, visitors can explore stunning Islamic architecture, traditional souqs, and beachfront promenades. The city is rich in culture, from its grand mosque and opera house to its museums and forts. Just a few hours away, the secluded paradise of Zighy Bay offers a dramatic contrast—tucked between rugged cliffs and turquoise waters, it’s perfect for those seeking tranquillity, outdoor adventure, and luxurious wellness retreats. Whether you’re discovering cultural landmarks or kayaking through mangroves, Oman delivers authentic experiences with modern comfort.
My Experience
We began our journey in Muscat, staying at the stylish Mandarin Oriental with its beachfront views. We explored the Grand Mosque, wandered through souqs, and enjoyed a variety of vegetarian dining spots—from casual cafés to fine dining with sea views. Cultural highlights like the Royal Opera House and Bait Al Zubair Museum were followed by kayaking through serene mangroves. After three days of city exploration, we travelled to Zighy Bay, a breathtaking luxury escape. The days were spent hiking, snorkelling, and enjoying spa treatments in a private villa setting. The final day brought a peaceful return to Muscat before our flight home.
