About Hua Hin
Nestled along the Gulf of Thailand, Hua Hin is a serene coastal city where royal heritage, cultural charm, and wellness-focused luxury blend effortlessly. Once a quiet fishing village, it’s now a favourite escape for both locals and international travellers seeking a more laid-back alternative to Bangkok. With elegant teakwood palaces, vineyards in the hills, vibrant night markets, and beachfront resorts, Hua Hin offers something for everyone—from history buffs and foodies to wellness seekers and beach lovers.
My Experience
After a few buzzing days in Bangkok, Hua Hin felt like a breath of fresh air. The coastal drive was scenic, and arriving at Chiva-Som set the tone — greeted with a herbal drink and a calming foot massage, I could already feel the stress slipping away.
That first evening, a beach walk during sunset followed by a gourmet vegetarian dinner at the resort made for a gentle, perfect start.
Day two took us from the elegance of Maruekhathaiyawan Palace to the rolling vineyards of Monsoon Valley. A wine tasting and lunch with a view added charm, while sunset at Khao Takiab Temple offered stunning views of Hua Hin.
The third day was about local flavour. Cicada Market’s creativity and Plearnwan’s vintage vibe brought out Hua Hin’s playful side. A wellness ritual back at the resort and a cosy dinner at The Baguette wrapped up the day beautifully.
Our final morning began with a peaceful beach meditation a soul-soothing moment I’ll always treasure. After brunch, we headed back to Bangkok feeling refreshed and recharged.
