About Melbourne
Melbourne is Australia’s cultural capital a city bursting with creativity, heritage architecture, and a thriving culinary scene. Famous for its hidden laneways filled with street art and indie boutiques, the city also offers access to nature with day trips to the scenic Great Ocean Road and the renowned Yarra Valley wineries. Its cosmopolitan energy, love for sport, and vegetarian-friendly dining make it a must-visit for travellers seeking diversity and experience.
My Experience
We stayed at The Ritz Carlton Melbourne, which provided an elegant and comfortable base to explore the city. Our visit started with a walk through Hosier Lane, where Melbourne’s renowned street art comes to life in vivid colours. Federation Square and the nearby Royal Botanic Gardens offered a peaceful yet iconic city experience. One of our highlights was a day trip along the Great Ocean Road every stop was breathtaking. For food, we enjoyed an upscale vegetarian meal at Transformer in Fitzroy, loved the bold flavours at Smith & Daughters, and were blown away by the tasting menu at Attica, which celebrates native Australian ingredients.
