About Dubrovnik
Known as the “Pearl of the Adriatic,” Dubrovnik is one of Croatia’s most iconic cities. Enclosed by medieval stone walls, the Old Town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, renowned for its baroque architecture, limestone streets, and dramatic coastal views. Dubrovnik offers a perfect blend of cultural exploration and seaside leisure whether you're tracing the steps of kings on the City Walls, soaking up Game of Thrones filming locations, or relaxing with a seafood dinner overlooking the sea. Beyond the walls, nearby Lokrum Island offers lush nature, beaches, and monasteries all just a boat ride away.
My Experience
Upon arriving in Dubrovnik, we checked into the beautiful Hotel Bellevue, perched on a cliff with stunning views of the Adriatic. Our afternoon was spent walking along the majestic City Walls, marvelling at the terracotta rooftops and catching glimpses of the sparkling coastline. We wandered through the polished limestone streets, admired Rector’s Palace, and soaked in the buzz of the Stradun promenade. Dinner was unforgettable – a candlelit meal at a cliffside restaurant, the sound of waves below us and the Old Town glowing in the evening light. The next day, we took a boat to Lokrum Island, where we explored the gardens, swam in the clear waters, and even saw peacocks roaming freely. Dubrovnik was the perfect mix of elegance, history, and coastal charm.
