About Copenhagen
Copenhagen, Denmark’s capital, is a captivating Nordic city that balances the elegance of royal palaces with edgy urban culture. From the brightly painted houses of Nyhavn to the world-class art museums and vibrant neighbourhoods like Nørrebro, Copenhagen is a walking and cycling haven. With deep-rooted sustainability, world-renowned fashion labels, Michelin-starred plant-based dining, and an effortlessly cool atmosphere, this is a city that effortlessly blends historic royalty with modern minimalism. Whether you’re touring castles, cruising canals, or enjoying organic brunches, Copenhagen never stops charming.
My Experience
We stayed at the boho-luxe Manon Les Suites, which offered a unique jungle-themed interior and rooftop pool. On Day 1, we wandered through the colourful harbour of Nyhavn, enjoyed a scenic canal tour, admired the majestic Frederik’s Church, and watched the Changing of the Guard at Amalienborg Palace. Day 2 took us into Copenhagen’s royal and historical heart – with a visit to Rosenborg Castle, the vibrant King’s Garden, and a fascinating climb up the Round Tower. Day 3 was all about culture – from the National Gallery of Denmark to the Designmuseum Danmark, and finally Superkilen Park, a living art piece. On Day 4, we hopped on a quick train to Roskilde for a taste of Viking history at the Viking Ship Museum and the UNESCO-listed Roskilde Cathedral. Day 5 was filled with alternative energy – we explored Christiania, climbed the Church of Our Saviour, and ended our evening with rides and lights at Tivoli Gardens. The final day included a trip to Helsingør to visit Kronborg Castle, with a detour to the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art. The city felt alive with design, nature, and progressive energy at every corner.
