My Experience
Staying at the Shangri-La Paris, we were immediately struck by the refined elegance and views of the Eiffel Tower from our balcony. Our first evening stroll through Trocadéro Gardens offered one of the most iconic views in the world – a surreal moment.
On Day 2, the Eiffel Tower summit in the morning was breathtaking, followed by the Musée d’Orsay, which felt like stepping into a painting.
The Champs-Élysées and Saint-Germain-des-Prés had a different energy – luxury, charm, and quiet sophistication. I especially loved relaxing in the Luxembourg Gardens.
The Louvre Museum on Day 4 was vast but beautifully curated – the Mona Lisa, though crowded, was worth seeing once.
Versailles was a day of opulence – the Hall of Mirrors was dazzling, but the Marie Antoinette Estate felt more personal and human.
Montmartre was my favourite – an artistic soul in the city. The cobbled streets, Sacré-Cœur, and Place du Tertre felt like walking through a painting.
We ended our journey with contemporary art and a serene farewell walk along the Île de la Cité. It was the perfect closure to a poetic week.
