About Budapest
Hungary offers a delightful mix of historical landmarks, rich Jewish heritage, buzzing city life, and serene natural getaways. This itinerary includes 5 days in Budapest, where baroque churches, dramatic castles, and ruin bars coexist with thermal baths and elegant avenues. A day trip to charming Szentendre reveals artistic and riverside tranquillity. Then, two nights at Lake Balaton Hungary's "inland sea" provide relaxation and recreation. From the grandeur of the Parliament Building to the soothing waves of Balaton, this itinerary covers it all.
My Experience
Exploring Budapest felt like stepping into a storybook of contrasts from soaking in Széchenyi Thermal Baths to wandering through edgy ruin bars. The Parliament building took our breath away, and Fisherman's Bastion offered views straight out of a painting. Szentendre charmed us with its cobbled lanes and art galleries. Lake Balaton was the perfect escape to nature after city life. Tihany and Balatonfüred gave us peaceful moments, while Siofok's lively vibe brought summer energy.
