About Cinque Terre
Cinque Terre, meaning "Five Lands", offers one of the most scenic coastal escapes in Italy. With colourful cliffside homes, turquoise waters, terraced vineyards, and postcard-perfect views, each village offers its own unique charm. Travellers can hike the trails between the towns, savour Ligurian cuisine like trofie al pesto and anchovies, and unwind with breathtaking Mediterranean sunsets.
My Experience
Arriving in Monterosso and seeing the vibrant houses hugging the coastline was a magical moment. I loved the relaxed pace of each village, especially enjoying fresh pesto pasta in Vernazza and the views from Punta Bonfiglio in Manarola. Hiking along the Blue Trail felt like walking through a dream, with the sea always glistening below.
