About Mexico
Mexico is a country that beautifully balances vibrant city life with natural wonders and cultural richness. Explore the historic heart of Mexico City, known for its museums, art, and gastronomy. Wander through the colonial streets of San Miguel de Allende, soak up the sun in Los Cabos, and uncover the magic of the Riviera Maya. Whether you're discovering ancient Mayan ruins, enjoying a rooftop dinner, or snorkelling in turquoise waters, Mexico offers something unforgettable for every traveller.
My Experience
The journey began in Mexico City, with a stay at a luxury hotel in the heart of the capital. Days were filled with museum visits, scenic walks in Roma Norte, and delicious meals at celebrated restaurants. Highlights included fresh pastries from an iconic bakery, churros at a historic churrería, and wandering the halls of the National Museum of Anthropology.
Next came the artistic charm of San Miguel de Allende, staying at a heritage-style hotel with breathtaking rooftop views. The city’s central plaza, artisan boutiques, and gourmet vegetarian dining stood out, along with an inspiring visit to a local art gallery and a nearby wine region.
Los Cabos brought a shift to oceanfront living, filled with beach club afternoons, zip-lining, snorkelling, and farm-to-table feasts. Sailing in the Sea of Cortez, dining at coastal restaurants, and enjoying fresh ceviche under the stars were standout experiences.
In the Riviera Maya, the retreat offered relaxation with opportunities to explore Tulum, a jungle museum, and contemporary Mexican cuisine. The surrounding cenotes and boat rides made the experience both calming and adventurous.
The final stop was Merida/Yucatán, with a stay at a boutique luxury resort surrounded by nature. Visits to Chichen Itza, the Pink Lagoon, and quiet colonial towns offered a serene end to the trip. The local markets, Mayan museums, and charming plazas added depth to the experience.
