Chicago, nestled on the shores of Lake Michigan, offers an impressive blend of big-city energy and Midwestern warmth. Known for its iconic skyline, the Bean (Cloud Gate), and deep-rooted jazz culture, the city is a paradise for architecture enthusiasts and art lovers. From strolling the Riverwalk to sailing on the lake, and indulging in innovative vegetarian cuisine, Chicago balances fast-paced exploration with calm lakeside moments. My Experience
Staying at The Peninsula, we were steps away from the iconic Michigan Avenue and felt completely immersed in the city’s energy. We began with a walk through Millennium Park to see the Bean and enjoyed a sunset river cruise through the city’s architectural wonders. Exploring world-class museums like the Art Institute and the Field Museum was unforgettable. Sailing on Lake Michigan offered a calm break from city sightseeing, while dinner at Althea and Girl & The Goat delivered top-notch vegetarian meals. Fulton Market buzzed with art and food, and shopping on the Magnificent Mile was as stylish as it gets. We ended with brunch in Lincoln Park and a peaceful walk along North Avenue Beach. The city truly caters to all senses — history, food, design, and nature.
