A scenic and adventure-packed West Coast road trip starting from Northern California to Seattle, Washington, through Oregon’s rugged coastlines, volcanic parks, and iconic cities.
About Seattle
This 7–8 day road trip is a perfect mix of nature, coastlines, and urban exploration. Beginning in Northern California, it takes you through the majestic Mount Shasta, past serene lakes and charming small towns. The journey continues along Oregon’s coast, featuring Crater Lake, dune bashing near Reedsport, and oceanfront stays in Yachats. The trip concludes with the culture and skyline of Seattle, offering city experiences alongside natural wonders like Mount Rainier.
My Experience
We began in Concord and made our way north through Redding and into Lake Siskiyou, where the views of Mount Shasta were breathtaking. McCloud and Weed had a quaint charm, and the Mount Shasta National Park hike was invigorating. In Oregon, we stayed at Klamath Falls, explored Crater Lake, and enjoyed the cool forests of Umpqua. Reedsport’s dune bashing was thrilling. Yachats was a peaceful coastal escape, and Overleaf Lodge offered amazing spa views. Portland was lively with culture, art, and gardens. Our final leg in Washington included awe-inspiring Mount Rainier, Tacoma’s charm, and a memorable 3-night stay at Seattle’s Four Seasons. Seattle offered a whirlwind of iconic landmarks, innovative tech visits, and diverse cuisine.
