As the capital of the United States, Washington, D.C. offers a fascinating blend of power, history, and beauty. Home to the White House, National Mall, and countless Smithsonian museums, it’s an ideal city for history buffs and culture lovers. But beyond politics, D.C. charms visitors with waterfront strolls in Georgetown, globally-inspired cuisine, and vibrant local neighbourhoods. The city is highly walkable, with plenty of green spaces and seasonal blossoms (especially the famous cherry blossoms in spring).
My Experience
Our three-night stay in Washington, D.C. was packed with inspiration and discovery. We checked into Riggs Washington DC, a beautifully restored hotel with a speakeasy-style bar. From twilight Segway rides around the National Mall to relaxed afternoons paddling in the Tidal Basin, every moment felt cinematic. Dining was a highlight Planta Queen and Equinox delivered standout plant-based meals, and mornings began with great coffee at the Line DC’s café.
