Chile is a land of extremes where Andean peaks meet vibrant cities, glacial wonders, and the Pacific coastline.
About Santiago
Chile stretches like a ribbon along the western edge of South America, offering a diverse blend of geography, climate, and experiences. From cosmopolitan Santiago and colourful Valparaíso to the pristine wilderness of Torres del Paine, Chile captivates with its mix of art, culture, nature, and gastronomy. Whether riding a cable car up San Cristóbal Hill or hiking past turquoise lakes and glaciers in Patagonia, Chile delivers unforgettable contrasts in every direction.
My Experience
During our journey through Chile, we began in Santiago, where we stayed at The Singular Santiago and explored the charming Lastarria neighbourhood, visited the Museum of Fine Arts, and hiked up Santa Lucía Hill. A day trip to the coastal towns of Valparaíso and Viña del Mar added colour and ocean views to our itinerary.
In Torres del Paine, we checked into Explora en Torres del Paine, an ultra-luxurious base for our Patagonian adventures. We hiked to the Base of the Towers, cruised Lago Grey to see the majestic Grey Glacier up close, and enjoyed spotting wildlife in the dramatic landscape. The journey between cities was long but scenic, and each stop in Chile felt rich with both raw nature and cultural beauty.
